Are you looking for a new challenge? Our client is looking to recruit an experienced Legal/Compliance Office to take responsibility for all global affairs. The role will work alongside the CFO and CEO of this large multibillion dollar commodity fund. The role requires someone who is an FSA Registered Compliance Officer with experience in the commodity space.
Job description Key areas of responsibility include: • All elements of compliance from monitoring regulatory change and assessing impact on the business, implementation of changes to internal processes to meet future regulatory requirements, ICAAP preparation, transaction monitoring, personal trading, internal registrations to regulatory requirements and filings • Maintain and constantly update the organisation’s compliance manual • Organise necessary training for staff • This candidate will additionally be the organisation’s MLRO • Monitoring and negotiating all legal documents associated with the business. This includes fund documentation, ISDA’s, counterparty agreements, outsourcing agreements and corporate documents such as employment contracts, leases, partnership agreements and supplier contracts • Ability to effectively utilise and manage outside council in external negotiations, whilst ensuring maximum benefit to the fund.
Candidate Skills • University degree is essential • Excellent communication and negotiation skills • FSA registered compliance officer with experience in the commodity hedge fund space • Currently hold CF10 and CF11 registrations • Experience in effectively negotiating and managing the legal affairs for a hedge fund.
