Based in Europe (preferably London), this role is part of the Private Banking Global Investments Marketing Team. He/she will be responsible for leading a wide array of marketing and communications campaigns to help position and drive the Investments business in regional markets. The person in this role will partner closely with all teams in the Investments organization including: Strategy, Portfolio Construction and all Asset Class teams including equities, fixed income, currencies and commodities and alternatives.
Specifics include:
Establish strong marketing presence overseas to help drive the investments, Global Access, and Access Funds businesses in EMEA Assess local investor sentiment and investment demographics to develop appropriate marketing plan and budget that leverages marketing resources created by New York marketing teams Create region or country-specific sales material for all asset classes, mutual funds, UCITs and private placement portfolios. Execute on plan. Maintain sales collateral and ensure it is up-to-date (as well as get all local Compliance approvals and registrations as needed) and made available for internal and external channels Partner with internal Investor Relations to create internal launch presentations and FAQ for salesforce Work with regional marketing teams and Investor Relations to plan/coordinate prospecting and client events Coordinate all translations of local marketing materials and client reports (e.g., French, Spanish, Italian and German) Determine client reporting and communications processes for assigned investment product lines (e.g., what can be outsourced, what can be automated) Identify possible opportunities to build a marketing team as investment sales and revenues grow in these regions
To be successful, the person in this role will form a close partnership with Wealth Management Marketing, senior executives of the firm, the sales force, the Investments Strategy Team and Asset Class Leaders (across equities, fixed income and alternative investments), and the Global Access Portfolio Management Team
The role involves a keen sense of investor demographics in EMEA and Asia Pacific regions and meaningful ways to package Investments Marketing resources for international markets.
Formulating strategic, new and impactful ways to market the firm’s thought leadership, investment capabilities and solutions will be a key part of this role. Therefore it’s important to have a creative mind around positioning existing content for the local sales force to present to clients and prospects.
Required Skills Excellent writing, editing, presentation development and presentation skills Knowledge of Investments (equities, fixed income and/or alternative assets) Some knowledge of regulatory restrictions and investments guidelines in European, Middle Eastern, and Asia Pacific regions Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with business partners Must be a team player Ability to perform well in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment Excellent project management skills and ability to multi-task
Qualifications Degree in Marketing, Communications or other business discipline A minimum of ten years marketing or communications experience Licenses would be a plus
