The Due Diligence team is responsible for the search, selection and monitoring of mutual funds for the Private Bank's clients. It is a global team and works closely with the asset class leaders, portfolio construction, the alternative investments team and the New York based team, in building and maintaining a full product suite.
The London based members of the team are responsible for the selection of funds for all the bank's non-US clients. The team cover long only funds and some 'hedge fund lite' offerings in mutual fund format. The Private Bank has a focused list of funds which are used to populate the model portfolios, as well in advisory client portfolios
The role The role reports to the International Head of Due Diligence The role is to take the lead in researching two equity asset classes This will include new fund searches, monitoring existing funds and terminating funds where appropriate It will also involve presenting internally and some client meetings The role also includes the production of quarterly research notes, as well as monthly fund updates and ad hoc fund commentary Some travelling will be required
Key attributes Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years investment experience, CFA or equivalent preferred (not essential) Strong academic background with emphasis on writing skills A team player with great communication and presentation skills Confident use of Lipper Hindsight, Bloomberg, Excel, Powerpoint etc
